Overview of the Role:
Alignment Health is seeking an organized, customer-service and detail-oriented credentialing coordinator to support credentialing activities to ensure that Alignment has a provider network of the highest quality. As a credentialing coordinator, you will work with the credentialing team on all aspects of credentialing and re-credentialing including preparing and maintaining reports, communication with providers and internal departments as well as performing database entry of provider and facility information to ensure compliance with regulatory and accreditation requirements.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct outreach to providers to obtain documents required for credentialing
- Respond to internal and external customer inquiries regarding credentialing status
- Responsible for health plan provider-related communications.
- Maintain department files in an organized, accurate, and secure manner.
- Process outgoing and incoming requests for credentialing and credentialing inquiries
- Perform data entry into databases or systems
Required Skills and Experience:
- Minimum (1) year experience in the field of primary source verification credentialing in a healthcare environment or equivalent experience performing administrative duties with a clinical focus
- Managed care experience preferred
- Minimum of (2) years’ professional experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook, Excel, Access)
- High school diploma or equivalent, some college a plus
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational skills and accurate work results
- Able to meet scheduled deadlines with minimal supervision.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, knowledge of other systems preferred.
- Able to multi-task and deal with complexity on a frequent basis
- Flexible, team player
PAY RANGE: $39,500 – $59,300 annually.
