This position is full-time (40 hours / week), Monday – Friday. Employees are required to work our normal business hours of 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM. It may be necessary, given the business need, to work occasional overtime.

We offer weeks of on-the-job training. The hours during training will be 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM from Monday – Friday. Training will be conducted virtually from your home.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for managing Third – Party AR by analyzing denied and un – responded claims
  • Outbound calls to insurance carriers to appeal and check claims status
  • Post explanation of benefits
  • Coordinate with insurance carriers to reconcile / resolve any issues
  • Familiar with explanation of benefits
  • Maintain Compliance and HIPAA standards at all times
  • Meet or exceed daily production standards by maintaining work list according to metrics

Required Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma / GED
  • 1+ years of experience in Medical Billing
  • 1+ years of customer service experience with analyzing and solving customer problems OR 1+ years of experience in an office setting environment, using the telephone and computer as the primary instruments to perform job duties 
  • Experience with using Microsoft Office applications: Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft Outlook (ability to create, edit, save, and send documents, spreadsheets, and correspondence)
  • Ability to work any full – time shift between the hours of 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM from Monday – Friday including the flexibility to work occasional overtime based on business need
  • Must be 18 years of age OR older

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Healthcare / Medical / Pharmacy terminology
  • Telecommuting Requirements:
  • Ability to keep all company sensitive documents secure (if applicable)
  • Required to have a dedicated work area established that is separated from other living areas and provides information privacy
  • Must live in a location that can receive a UnitedHealth Group approved high-speed internet connection or leverage an existing high-speed internet service

California, Colorado, Connecticut, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, Washington, or Rhode Island Residents Only: The hourly range for California / Colorado / Connecticut / Nevada / New York / New Jersey / Washington / Rhode Island residents is $16.00 – $31.44 per hour.
